As part of our efforts to make basic healthcare accessible for all, Ayurvalley Hospital – Meppady with the support of Chempothra Gramolsavam Organising Committee, conducted free Ayurveda health camps in villages, providing succor to over 600 people. During this mega Ayurveda medical camp event, free check-up was proffered to people of all ages. Along with this, Generic medicines were distributed free of cost to all the patients.
The camp was conducted in a rural, remote place, situated in Meppady Panchayat. The objective of conducting this mega Ayurveda health camp was to create awareness of general health among the people, provide general health care services and counselling them on healthcare and preventions.
The camp was held on 8th April, as a part of the village festival event of Chempothra which was held from the 6th of April to the 13th of the same month. A team of three doctors comprising Dr. Rohith Bhageerathan (Chief Medical Directory of Ayurvalley), Dr. Amal V Jose (Ayurvedic Physician at Ayurvalley) and Dr. Divya James (Ayurvedic Physician at Ayurvalley) examined the patients on several parameters upon their well-being and health. Our qualified doctors handled the camp in a friendly manner and advised medicines to those who visited the camp.
Our doctors examined each patient one by one, diagnosing weaknesses and illnesses, checking eyes, lungs, functioning of the heart and other parts of the body on the premise itself. Subjects visited predominantly with health conditions such as arthritis, gynic cases, asthma, respiratory diseases, skin diseases, old age diseases, renal disorders and obesity, were prescribed with lifestyle corrections and medicines by the doctors during the mega medical camp. Medicines were administered free of cost for all the patients who attended the medical camp.
This camp received an overwhelming response from the local people of the community, and the due credits go to Gramolsavam Organising Committee of Chempothra for their support and efforts in making this medical camp a success. Being a dedicated healthcare centre, Ayurvalley is committed to conducting more free medical camps in the future.
