Bone and Joint

Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common inflammatory disease, which mostly affects older individuals. Osteoarthritis or Sandhivata results due to aggravation of Vata dosha. It is caused by the breakdown of cartilage – the firm and the rubbery tissue that shields bones at joints. Poor digestion results in production of toxins, which accumulates within the body and eventually reaches the joints. At Ayurvalley, we treat arthritis by stimulating Vata through specific herbs which helps in lubrication of joints. We also aim at providing treatments for Osteoarthritis that prevents deterioration of joints and rejuvenates cartilages.
